OVERVIEW
The Puez Knit Powertex is designed to provide a smooth roll-off and long-lasting comfort for versatile, urban use or mountain hikes on rugged trails and varied terrain. It has an abrasion-resistant knitted nylon upper reinforced with an external toe cap and all-round protective rubber rand with a PFC-free waterproof and breathable Powertex® membrane and a resource-efficient Alpine Hemp midsole.
Circular & sustainable
Designed according to a circular approach to manufacturing, the Alpine Hemp midsole under the forefoot is made from recycled hemp fabric waste and virgin hemp, reducing the usage of EVA, saving resources and offering a sustainable perspective, without making sacrifices on performance. The sustainable shoelaces and on this model are also made of a combination of Alpine Hemp with recycled polyester.
Long-lasting comfort
Its dedicated trekking last, dual EVA midsoles with graded stiffness and softer landing heel cushioning and soft, recycled, customizable CFF footbed work with the additional supplied Volume Reducer to promote enhanced comfort and a customized fit.
Progressive technical solutions
The Puez Knit Mid Powertex has a Pomoca™ Alpine Trekker outsole for grip and traction in technical terrain. At the heart of its construction built into the insole, the new Salewa Edging Plate II, a special thermoplastic frame that runs the entire length of the boot offers a combination of enhanced flex and rebound for long-lasting hiking comfort with specific levels of stiffness and flex at the forefoot, and heel for targeted stiffness, plus increased stability. In addition, the proven Salewa 3F System with Kevlar® cables ensures a supportive fit at the ankle and wrapping midfoot stability. This is further enhanced by the climbing lacing that runs right down to the toe.
This trekking shoe bears the Salewa Committed icon and meets our strict criteria for additional sustainability and environmentally-friendly manufacturing.
