I’ve been adventuring since I was just a kid. Growing up I had access to 150 acres of woods and fields. Spending my days camping and swinging through trees with my 6 older brothers was the start to my love and passion for the outdoors.
I quickly followed my brothers footsteps by joining Boy Scouts and becoming an Eagle Scout. This taught me many life techniques and knowledge that I still use today. It gave me a foot in the door for traveling to different areas with groups of people and sparked my interest in extended backpacking excursions.
I’ve traveled countless amounts of miles all over North America on backpacking trips, Kayaking, and just weekend camping trips with my dogs. Some of my favorite travels are listed below and all have very entertaining stories to be shared. My most unique and wild trip that I have done is setting out to solo hike the Appalachian Trail through winter. While all of my friends were heading off to college, I decided to go on a journey that shaped my life for ever. Although I over came a lot of adversities along the way such as freezing temperatures, tents being blown of a mountain top in middle of the night, and water sources being ice blocks. I managed to survive for 4 months before I ran into a health issue that has caused many obstacles for me to overcome still to this day. I don’t let anything hold me back from doing the things I love and am passionate about. Sometimes you just have to find alternative ways to do what you need to do.
